THE PROJECT
Building Matters aims to raise awareness of the need for green skills related to the use of building materials and prepare vocational training providers to adapt their training offerings to changing skill needs, green and digital transformation, and economic cycles. The main objectives include changing the mindset of industry players towards green trends, creating sustainable alliances in building materials at local, national, and transnational levels, exploring sustainable solutions to emerging material and pricing issues, promoting sustainable behaviours and approaches to mitigate climate transition risks in the construction sector, and developing training activities for green skills.
Furthermore, the project aims to facilitate access to high-quality learning opportunities through the use of virtual, digital, and blended learning methodologies, promoting information sharing and mutual learning. As part of the project, Sustainable Building Materials Curricula will be integrated into the Building Matters training programme within a digital e-learning environment. This e-learning platform will support the professional development of VET teachers and trainers with learning opportunities and training offerings aligned with sustainable and forward-looking transition pathways.
In addition, the e-learning platform will enable all profiles within the construction supply chain, as well as interested stakeholders, to easily access and utilize the flexible Building Matters training package and the tools it contains.
